OUR PHILOSOPHY
The House of Labor and Employment Law represents clients in cases including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful-termination, workplace torts, breach of contract, labor law, duty of fair representation, the Labor Management Relations Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA), the Merit Systems Protection Board and wage and hour violations. We also conduct workplace investigations and are available for labor and employment law-related workshops. Our commitment is to provide high-quality, cost-effective, and vigorous legal representation.
WAGE AND HOUR (FLSA) HYPOTHETICAL
Suppose the ABC Manufacturing Company's regular payday is Friday, October 1. ABC mails your paycheck fully intending for it to arrive at your home by October 1. But, the check gets lost in the mail, or the check is delivered to a next-door neighbor who forgets about it and doesn't get it to you until four days later.
Question: Did the employer violate the Fair Labor Standards Act with respect to your paycheck?
